Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Distinguished Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is the author of many publications and many awards to her credit, is also the recipient of numerous national and global distinctions. She has advised numerous government agencies and governments around the world about policies and studies pertaining to child victims by the legal system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
