An adult is a person or animal who has attained the full growth.The biological meaning of the term refers to the animal has reached sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproducing. Adults are a social concept and a legal one within the world of humans. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor" legally adult is a person who has reached the age of majority and is therefore considered autonomous, self-sufficient and responsible. The word "major" is a term applied to the person. The point at which a person becomes an adult legally is 18; however, the definition of"legal maturity" can be different depending on the country or legal system in place, and also their psychological state.

Human development is the time during which mental and physical maturity has been reached. It usually starts when a person reaches 21, which is the average age for adults. The age of old is 60 years after middle the age of 60. The three main stages of adulthood are early adulthood (from mid-30s to late-60s), middle adulthood from mid-30s to late-60s and later adulthood (mid-60s up to end of life). It is the time to complete physical development at the point we are in our early adulthood (20-40s), although the weight and height may increase slightly. The physical abilities of our bodies are at their peak when we are young adults. It includes strength of muscles, reflex time, sensitivities, and functioning of the heart.
